In this course we will learn about the various stages of intervention in polychrome wood sculptures, the processes used, working methods, materials and equipment.

We begin by covering internationally accepted conservation concepts and systematizing the ethical principles that should guide any conservation and restoration intervention.

The course is accompanied by a case study.

In addition to this case study, other examples and images of interventions on wooden sculptures will be presented.
